Many European people seem to believe that americans pay less in taxes than europeans pay for taxes which is not true. American people pay more in USA Tax than European people pay for Tax in Europe & americans get nothing in return for tax paid out in FICA vs European Tax and what europeans get in return for taxes they pay from jobs in europe. Taxes In The USA VS EUROPE
Many European people seem to believe that americans pay less in taxes than europeans pay for taxes which is not true. American people pay about 25% of their pay checks for Federal Taxes. Very few states in the usa are tax free. Texas is one of the few states where people do not pay State taxes in the usa however every american that lives in the usa or even americans living in other parts of the world are forced to pay what is called FICA *Federal Insurance Contributions Act Tax* American companies that american people work for take about 10 Percent of the american employees income to put into FICA Taxes but, if you are self employed in the usa you have to pay 15 Percent of your income for FICA. Most americans also pay State taxes to their state out of their pay checks which can range from about 4 Percent to about 9 percent of their pay. Some States do charge more than 9% of income in the usa for that states taxes but, I wanted to put the percentage of pay out in the usa a bit lower since already it shows americans pay more in taxes than europeans and of course americans do not have health care or help with living and anything like you find in countries in europe. Americans by birth are pretty much frogged and that is not a good thing grin. (The average american pays a total of 40 to 45 percent of what they make in total for taxes.) That is not counting house taxes or property tax and things like that.
In Sweden the Swedish people pay only about 30 to 35% of their income in taxes and for that their government does not use the money on bombs and travel to go killing people. The money is used for paying doctors and dentists etc. Yes in europe they are living life easy and well for kids in Sweden get Free Dental Care! Kids in Sweden Get Free School Lunches! Kids in Sweden are not homeless nor are there lots of homeless adults in sweden. European governments and leaders offer homes and money for people to eat and live on if they are hurt and not able to work or even if they just have no job etc. For people that are not able to walk or get around well they are given food and shelter. The money comes from what people all put into taxes. Less taxes are paid in europe than they pay in the usa and europeans have something to show for what they are putting out. It is really amazing and many lives are saved by being able to see doctors and have operations for less what a simple doctors visit would cost the the usa. It is nice that people do not have to die in europe like they do in the usa due to hard times or injury. Too bad americans are not cared for or given much of a shot at life in ways.
What is FICA in the USA & What do americans get out of FICA Taxes they pay?
American people pay about 10% of their pay checks to the FICA Tax in the USA yet few FICA Taxes in the usa does not work since really most americans never get help with health care or living and sure never get the money back that they put into the Federal Insurance Contributions Act Taxes aka FICA. There you see the 35 Percent of pay in the usa is already taken out for FICA and Federal Tax. That is about what Europeans pay in taxes and as we know it is not used for doctors to be paid by the government as they do in europe. This means americans have to pay for their health care and that is already on another article about usa vs europe. Back to the american tax vs tax in europe. As I said prior there are only a few States in the USA that do not pay State Taxes so really most americans are paying even more than just 35% of pay in taxes. This goes out to Social Security & Medicare which means of course you will get it when you are about dead and not enough of it to live on. It is not like european people that get money to live on via when they retire for in the usa few american people get enough to even pay rent in the worse parts of the usa. Ghetto life is not safe for kids or old people in the usa or anyone & most people that get disability or social security in the usa may not even be able to pay rent on what they get monthly. What happens to the money people put in FICA in the usa then end up dead before they get back hum what do you think grin.
Store Taxes on Food, Clothing etc via usa & Cost Of Living In USA VS EUROPE
If you travel to the usa from europe and go shopping at american stores you will notice there is yet another type of taxes which makes the cost of things listed in the stores not really true. When you pay at the check out counter you will be charged about 7 cents on the dollar for your food, clothing, and anything you buy in the usa. This is store taxes you pay on all goods bought in the usa at shops etc. That is nothing people get back or see even in the list price so you have to figure that you will be paying that much over what the items are listed as in cost. Just a heads up to help you sort your cash or money when your in the United States Of America. In europe I have not seen such things and when you buy stuff at stores in Sweden & Denmark etc you are not charged any more than what the items say they cost. There is no hidden mark up or taxes for they have already figured that into the prices they list. What it says you pay in europe is what you pay *GRIN*. Food, Clothing and many items in Sweden vs USA shows that the cost of living not just per home but even just by shopping is much lower than it is in america. In the USA the meats and foods are much lower in quality since the FDA *Food And Drug Administration in the USA* is not near as caring or strict as it is in europe.
